Welcome to our school - a note from the Principal

At the heart of Invercargill sits our small but mighty school, where we truly believe that it takes a village to raise a child. As the smallest school in the city, our size is our strength — allowing us to build strong relationships, know every child well, and create a genuine sense of belonging for all.

Our school community is richly multicultural, and we see our diversity as a gift. The many cultures, languages and life experiences within our kura make us stronger, more compassionate, and deeply connected. We celebrate who our children are and the stories they bring with them.

We are an inclusive, trauma-informed school, committed to caring for the whole child. We understand that learning happens best when children feel safe, supported and understood, and we work in partnership with whānau and our wider community to nurture both wellbeing and learning.

Guided by the whakataukī “Nāu te rourou, nāku te rourou, ka ora ai te iwi”with your food basket and my food basket, the people will thrive — we believe that when we work together, our children flourish. Situated right in the centre of the city, our school is a welcoming place where every child belongs and every contribution matters.
